WHO WE ARE
Restoration Community Church is a growing group of people gathering in Hanahan, SC who love Jesus and are committed to reaching the un-churched of our community. On January 10, 2013, we launched with 30 people meeting at Hanahan Elementary School and now we have over 250 people who call Restoration home. All of us are learning what it means to live a Gospel-centered life.
“The mission of Restoration is to make and equip disciples of Jesus Christ who love, lead and serve.”
Restoration is committed to making disciples through Sunday Worship Gatherings, Community Groups, and Huddles. Our modern worship environment is comprised of a full praise band and a 30-40 minute message that declares God’s Word in a very practical way. We believe the Gospel transforms, but we also know this is a process for everyone and would love to help you along that process. Jesus commissions us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit. Lives are transformed by the Gospel as believers receive New Life in Christ.
We see groups, which we call Community Groups and Huddles, as the foundation of our church. These groups meet in homes throughout our community with the intention of building spiritually mature disciples of Jesus through studying God’s Word. As mature believers we are able to approach life through the lens of scripture. We do life together around the table of the Lord where relationships are made, disciples grow, and family is made stronger. Jesus commissions us to teach His followers to obey all that He has commanded. Therefore, we train Christ-followers with the Word of God so that the body of Christ may be built up.
The vision of Restoration is to deploy missionary minded believers into our communities to reach the unchurched with the hope of the gospel. We believe that everyone knows people who are close to them, but far from God who need the life saving power of Jesus. Jesus commissions us to go. We are Christ’s ambassadors, and God makes his appeal to the world through us. We carry the hope of the Gospel as missionaries to our community.
